Se ti rivedi in alcuni di questi punti, c’è qualcosa da cambiare! - BELIAMO

If you see yourself in some of these points, there is something to change!

Today we talk about our main job, which is to take care of people's well-being through the quality of sleep! Sleeping poorly, waking up all the time, still feeling tired the next day, are just the most obvious of the many symptoms of poor sleep. "sleep wellness" is a topic that concerns many of us and that should be addressed much more and more seriously. Recognizing these signs is the first step in understanding the importance of quality rest and in being able to take measures that promote truly healthy and rejuvenating sleep.

Symptom 1: Constant Fatigue Even After Sleeping!

One of the most obvious symptoms of poor sleep is the feeling of constant tiredness throughout the day. If you wake up in the morning and feel like you haven't slept at all, chances are your sleep hasn't been satisfactory. Fatigue can affect your concentration, work performance, and overall mood. It is important to understand what are the factors that compromise your sleep, let's try to find out!

Symptom 2: Difficulty Concentrating

Disturbed sleep can lead to difficulty concentrating and memory problems. If you find yourself struggling to stay focused at work or during daily activities, it could be a sign that your sleep isn't optimal. Hours of sleep are supposed to help your brain recharge, but if you sleep badly sometimes not only does it not recharge, but you overload excessively causing stress and fatigue levels to increase.

Symptom 3: Mood changes

Bad sleep can have a negative impact on your mood as well. If you're feeling irritable, anxious, or apathetic with no apparent cause, it could be linked to the quality of your sleep. Inadequate rest affects emotional reactions and the ability to manage stress, and as a result, if we don't sleep well, we are extremely irritable.

Symptom 4: Increased Appetite and Weight Changes

Sleep also plays an important role in regulating appetite and body weight. When we don't get enough sleep, our body can produce more ghrelin, the hunger hormone, and less leptin, the hormone that signals satiety. This can lead to increased appetite and, in the long run, weight changes. Often, when weight gain occurs, it is not linked to sleep quality due to the lack of information about this area. Sleeping well does not only mean resting but as we are seeing, it means having a healthy body from different points of view!

Symptom 5: Physical Health Problems (not to be underestimated!)

Poor sleep can increase your risk of developing physical health problems, including diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and even immune disorders. Lack of sleep weakens the immune system and can impair the body's ability to fight infection. (Read our article about it to better prepare for the period of flu and viruses!)

Symptom 6: Physical pain

Poor quality rest can contribute to physical pain. People with sleep problems often report muscle pain, joint pain, and headaches. In addition, inadequate sleep can increase sensitivity to pain. It often happens that you have joint or muscle pain and you don't understand the cause because "I didn't do anything special, strange!"; The cause could be right in front of our eyes and accompany us every night, with poor sleep quality, perhaps due in these cases to low-quality products or not suitable for our body!

Symptom 7: Frequent nocturnal awakenings

If you wake up often during the night and struggle to get back to sleep, this may indicate disturbed sleep. Nocturnal awakenings can be caused by factors such as physical discomfort, stress, or sleep disorders such as insomnia. Often, however, it is simply the use of the wrong pillow or mattress for our needs, such as having neck pain and not having a cervical pillow, causing problems!

Listen to Your Body and Look for Practical Solutions!

Recognizing these symptoms is the first step to improving the quality of your sleep and, as a result, your overall well-being. If you experience one or more of these signs, consider adopting healthy sleep habits, creating a rest-friendly environment, and if necessary, consulting with a health professional to address the underlying causes. Many times given the society in which we live, the reasons are actually related to anxiety and stress, but other times it can be enough to change mattress or pillow and choose one suitable for the position in which we sleep, the shape of our body, our weight and much more! Restful sleep is crucial to living life to your full potential, so take care of your sleep!
